ArtFields Offers Over $100,000 in Prizes for Southeastern US Artists

From September 1 through November 1, 2021, emerging and established artists based in the Southeastern United States can apply for ArtFields, an annual nine-day art competition and exhibition in Lake City, South Carolina. Each year, ArtFields brings together art lovers, collectors, and curators who come to see Lake City transform into a town-wide gallery, allowing accepted artists to be part of the celebration while they compete for over $100,000 in prizes.

The Spring 2022 event will celebrate 10 years of ArtFields awarding life-changing prizes, helping launch the careers of countless artists, and acting as the catalyst for Lake City’s transformation into a burgeoning arts mecca. Jamison Kerr, the ArtFields director, is proud of the impact the event has had on all those involved.

“This year, we will surpass $1 million in prize money awarded to incredibly deserving artists,” says Kerr. “Just as importantly, we’ve brought an entire community back to life by celebrating the talent and stories of this region.”

Adult artists of all working media who reside in the competition’s 12 participating Southeastern states (Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia) are invited to apply.
