An an artist-led collective comprising 26 contemporary creatives is mounting an exhibition and event programme in London, in support of the world’s oceans. Blue Minds is the name of a collective of creatives who take their inspiration from the ocean, and their exhibition and events programme seek to highlight why a healthy ocean is vital for us all. The fully-immersive show offers wearable art, soundscapes, photography, installations, paintings, ceramics, films, sculptures, workshops, talks, interactive media and discussion rooms; directly inspired by the work of marine biologists, it supports the work of the Blue Marine Foundation in an expression of the mutual respect artists share with scientists. 15% of the exhibition proceeds will go to the Foundation.
The programme has been co-curated by AH Studios, Julia Campbell-Carter and Nico Earle, and includes Scottish artist Callum Innes. Other artists include Mariele Neudecker, Anne de Carbuccia, Andrea Hamilton, Ai Weiwei, Marcus Lyon, Emma Critchley, Bridget Smith, Gregor Hildebrandt, Phillip Hunt, Carola Dixon, Gideon Rubin, Anna Barriball, Emma Elliott, Kate Braine, Renelio Marin, Jordi Raga, Crystal Fischetti, Karolina Woolf and Dawit Abebe.
